NSS MODEL PLAN FOR THE YEAR 2003-2004

AT COLLEGE/UNIT LEVEL:

APRIL-2003 :

•  Preparation of Annual Report and Audit Report and submission to the Univeristy.

•  Submission of Quarterly Report for the period ( Jan to March – 2003 ) to University.

MAY-2003:

•  Selection of a village/slum for adoption by the NSS Unit.

•  Organize Summer Special camps with the Theme “Youth for Swatchatha”.

•  Observance of Anti-terrorism Day on 21 st May-2003 .

JUNE-2003:

•  Observance of World Environment Day – 5 th June-2003 .

•  Conduct NSS Advisory Committee Meeting at College Level.

•  Particulars District Level Programme Officers/Principals Meeting .

•  Organize Summer Special Camps with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted.

•  Submission of College Level best nominations for Indira Gandhi NSS Awards/State NSS Awards to University.

JULY-2003:

•  Enrollment of volunteers at College Level .

•  Removal of Parthenium Plants in the college campus. Conduct orientation training to volunteers.

•  Organize Vanamahotsav week celebrations.

•  Organize Family Health Awareness Programme to create understanding on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD)/ Reproductively Transmitted Infections (RTI).

•  Conduct Unit Level Selections for Youth Festival/Youth Leadership Training Programmes .

•  Participate Programme Officers/Principals Meetings if not conducted before.

•  Organize Special Camp with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha”

•  Submission of quarterly report for the period (April – June 2003 )

AUGUST-2003:

•  Conduct Orientation Training to the volunteers.

•  Organize International Youth Day on 12-08-2003.

•  Organization of Sabdhawana Peace March on 19-08-2003.

•  Organize Blood Donation/Blood grouping Programmes.

•  Removal of Parthenium Plants in College Campus.

•  Participate Town/Zonal level youth festivals – Selection of volunteers for Pre-Republic Day camp.

•  Conduct Special Camping with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha” (if not conducted before).

•  Conduct Awareness Programme for volunteers at colleges on theme “ Youth for Swatchatha”.

•  Submission of list of NSS Volunteers Enrolled to the University.

•  Participate District Level Youth Leadership Training Camp .

SEPTEMBER-2003:

•  Observance of International Literacy Day on 08-09-2003.

•  Participate District Level youth Leadership Training Programme/Youth Festival Program/ Youth Festival if not organized before.

•  Observance of NSS day on 24 th September-2003 at Unit level.

•  Conduct Special Camps with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted before.

•  Construction/Repairs/Development of water harvesting structures at Unit level.

OCTOBER –2003:

•  Organize Blood Donation Camp at Unit Level on National Volunteers Blood Donation Day on 1 st October 2003.

•  Observance of Gandhi Jayanthi on 2 nd October-2003 Communal Harmony Month .

•  Conduct Special Camps with theme “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted before.

•  Participate State Level Inter-university Camp/Selections of volunteers for Pre-Republic Day Camp.

•  Construction/Repairs/Development of water harvesting structures at Unit Level.

•  Submission quarterly report for the period of July – September 2003 .

NOVEMBER-2003:

•  Observance of Universal Childrens Day on 14-11-2003 .

•  Observance of Quami-Ekta-Week - 19 th to 25 th of November-2003 .

•  Conduct of Special Camping Programmes on “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted before.

•  Observance of Womens Day on 24 th November-2003. Womens Education & Employment .

•  Observance of Conservation day on 25 th November-2003 .

DECEMBER-2003:

•  Observance of World Aids Day on 1 st December-2003.

•  Observance of Internation Volunteers Day on 5 th December-2003 . Celebrations to motivate the youth to take up Social Service.

•  Organizations of Inter Special Camps with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha”.

•  Conduct Blood Donation/Blood Grouping Camps at unit level.

•  Organization of Pulse Polio Immunization camping .

JANUARY-2004:

•  Observance of National Youth Day 12 th January-2004 .

•  Observance of National Youth week Celebrations 12 th to 19 th January-2004 .

•  Organization of Pulse Polio Immunization camping .

•  Conduct of Special Camp with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted before.

•  Submission of Quarterly Report for the period October – December 2003 .

FEBRUARY-2004:

•  Conduct the Special Camp with the theme “Youth for Swatchatha” if not conducted.

•  Organization of Blood Donation/Blood Grouping Programmes (if not organized before)

MARCH-2004:

•  Observance of International Womens Day on 08-03-2004 .

•  Conduct Summer Special Camps .
